Trip to Anderson

This past Saturday, I took the kiddos for a day in the country.  Thank you Christine for all of the cute pics, that I took from fb :), I didn't bring my camera with me this time.  It was a great time just hanging out with a few of my favorite cousins.

The Color Run 2012

The second week in November, I participated in the Color Run!  This was a little outside my comfort zone, but I'm glad I did it.  I am really not a runner, although I like to work out and go to the gym.  Christine mentioned it to me this summer, and it sounded like a fun time, and something new to do.  Just in case you aren't familiar with the run, The Color Run is a 5K where people throw colored powdered on you while you run...I know it sounds a little strange, but it was fun.  It was was so surprised that sooo many people were running it, and it was even sold out.  Anyways, on to the pics....

That time of the year!

Deer Season!  I bet you thought I was going to say Christmas right?  But seriously, that is a whole other post....

Anyways, Avery LOVES to go out to the deer lease with her daddy.  At home, she may be all zebra, leopard, sequins, and glitter, but at the lease she gets DIRTY!  Literally, I usually try to have her bath water ready for her when they get home, so she can go straight to the bath.  The morning Brian took these pics, he woke her up at 4:00am to get dressed and hunt.  She was very excited, even though Brian didn't really shoot anything.  She just kept telling him,"that's ok daddy, maybe next time."  And she has since informed me that the next buck that her daddy shoots is going on her wall in her room.  Umm, ok, we can always dress it up with a feather boa, right?!?

Oreos for breakfast!
And just because my little one is such a cutie.....

5 months!

Ok, so I know I am about a week behind with Brady's monthy pics, but oh well. Better late than never, right? The past few weeks have been so busy, and it is about to get a little bit crazier!!!!  Last tuesday, I accepted a NP position, yayyyy!  It is an awesome opportunity, and I am both excited and nervous.  It's not exactly that nice woodlands office, I really wanted, but there is something really rewarding about taking care of those less fortunate women.  They need great, compassionate care too, and I am excited to learn, and begin my career.  It is an office in north houston, where I will mainly be doing OB, which I love.  I better get to practicing my spanish!

Now back to the little man....here he is at 5 months

For about the past month, he has been battling 2 sets of bilateral ear infections, but I am happy to report he is finally on the mend.  Do I see tubes in the future!?!

Here are a few tidbits about our Brady boy:
  • He last weighed in at 13lbs 8 oz.
  • is still such a happy, easy going baby, and even with 2 ear infections!
  • Is still nursing well.
  • I have tried rice cereal, but now he just gags and spits it out at me, ugh!  I guess I will keep trying :)
  • Can flip from tummy to back, and almost from back to tummy.
  • Wearing size 3-6 months.
  • In LOVE with his big sister, he laughs big belly laughs whenever he sees her.

Kinsley Grae

On Wednesday, November 8th, my BFF had her sweet baby!  At only 34 weeks, this little girl is a fighter.  Kara and Cody welcomed this precious baby after over 7 weeks on bedrest in the hospital due to bleeding, contractions, and her water breaking at 29 weeks!  Great job Kara!

Miss Kinsley did great in the NICU, and got to come home after only a week and a half stay.

This past Sunday, we had Kara's shower, which was also the day that Kinsley was discharged home from the hospital.  Her original shower was rescheduled since Kara was in the hospital.

Our crafy centerpieces we made :)

Girlfriends!

These past few months, I have really learned just how important it is to have great friends.

I really haven't blogged about this yet, but one of by best friends, has been on bed rest in the hospital for the past 7 weeks beginning at 29 weeks or pregnancy.  I have known Kara since elementary school actually, but we didn't become close until high school.  Twelve years later, we atually live in the same neighborhood, and I will have kids close in age.  These past few months, I have taken many trips to the hospital, and we have had many girl nights with our friends hanging out in Kara's hospital room :). The other night as we were celebrating Kara's bday and Kinsley's upcoming arrival, we were going through some old pics, so I had to post these.  They aren't really in any particular order, and span the past 10 years or so.
