What a feeling!

What an awesome feeling it is to wake up on a Saturday morning and know that I get to spend the entire day, weekend, month, and next couple of weeks just hanging out with my family!  It is awesome.  Within the past week, I have already read a book, scrubbed the house, and have organized a whole mess of closets, ha!  Although I finished all of my grad school assignments last saturday, it wasn't until Friday that all of my final grades were posted, and I think it finally sunk in.  I am done, finished, finito!  The last 2 years have been amongst the most difficult I have ever faced, but they have also been the most rewarding.  Ever since I graduated from TWU, I had always wanted to go back to school, but it was really only something I hoped for, I couldn't actually see myself doing it.  I am so looking forward to walking across that stage on Friday, Wahoo!!!

And what would be a post without a pic of my cutie-pa-tootie....

Happy Sunday!

32 weeks and a few random pics

Today, I am 32 weeks and 3 days!  Yikes, time seems to be flying by!  I wanted to try and blog more about little Brady, so here it goes...

How far along:  32 weeks and 3 days preggo

Size of baby:  Probably a little over 3.5 lbs

Total weight gain:  19 lbs...yikes! This may be where I stop tracking this one...

Maternity clothes:  Yes, Ma'am

Movement:  This little boy is crazy active!  In the evenings is his most active time, and as I try to lay down to sleep. Avery LOVES to feel him move.

Sleep:  Sleep??? What's that?  Pregnancy insomnia is a real pain lately.  For instance, last night I woke up at 2:00am and didn't finally fall back asleep until around 5:30!  My mind is just too busy I guess.  Naps seem to be a thing of the past as well, oh well...

What I miss:  Sleep!

Symptoms:  This week my allergies are pretty crazy, not that that is actually pregnancy related....and of course acid reflux.  But other than that, I am feeling pretty good.

Best Moment of the Week:  When I finished ALL of my grad school work this past saturday...I know, again not pregnancy related, but it is definitely on the top of my list!

What I am looking forward to:  My shower on Sunday and of course graduation next friday!

Milestones:  " In the latest womb reports, your amazing baby has now developed sensitivity to temperature!  Which means you’re likely to get a swift kick if you put a hot pad or bag of ice on your ginormous belly.  For the Elton John lovers out there - baby’s got blue eyes.  Actually, even if you're too young to know who Elton is, all babies have blue eyes at this point.  This could easily change after birth (or even between now and labor), but for the time being, blue it is.  Thanks to their recently matured lungs and a strengthening immune system, over 90% of babies born in their 32nd week survive!

And I just had to add a few random phone pics from the last few weeks....

Rapunzel and the croppie

Avery rescued a box turtle from the pool last saturday, she was so excited, but was bummed when I told her we had to set him free....she named him "swimmy."  Yes, very creative.
Look what Avery found in the pool!

Besties

Avery's dance class has given her the opportunity to meet some great girlfriends, and as an added plus, I really enjoy hanging out with the moms of these sweet girlies. The following picture explosion is from the last few weeks. Last week, we loaded up to take the girls to Disney on Ice, Dare to Dream. It was a pretty cute show, and the girls loved hanging out together. It does make me laugh at how much "girl drama" there actually was. I guess girls will be girls, especially a group of 4 and 5 year olds!

She was so excited to finally get a princess snow-cone. And for a whopping $12, I am glad she enjoyed it!

Tamra, one of the bravest moms I know, invited a BIG group of girls over for a slumber party the night before Good Friday. Avery was so excited for it to finally come. She has asked me numerous times since, when does she get to have a slumber party at her house?!?

I think somebody enjoyed playing dress-up!

Her eyes crack me up in these pics, because I can tell what little sleep she actually had, lol. Tamra said that the blondes were amongst the last to go down at close to 1am, WOW!

Easter 2012

This Easter we were blessed with gorgeous spring weather! Easter has to be one of my most favorite holidays.

My attempt to take a mother-daughter photo...

This year, we attended church service with family at Woodlands Church. Every year, they have a HUGE egg hunt for the kids, but Avery was a bit overwhelmed by all the kids and noise. Oh well, maybe next year.

Family Pic

The bunny brought a basket for Brady too....that bunny sure thinks of everything!

This is how Avery hung out before family time on Easter Sunday...boots, no pants, and a bass pro shop t shirt.

The hunt is on!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Good Friday Fun

Since the office where I am doing clinicals at was closed for Good Friday, we decided to color eggs with the family and hang out by the pool. I absolutely love it that it is April in Texas, and we are already in full summer mode. Coloring eggs by the pool is so much more fun than doing it indoors, and a whole lot less messy!

I saw this idea for glitter eggs on pinterest, I think they turned out pretty cute. We also used food coloring to dye the eggs, so they would turn out extra bright.

The girls didn't seem to mind the moms' OCD egg coloring techniques, haha. But we ended up with some pretty neat eggs as a result.

Tea Please!

Last Saturday, my friend Ginger, invited Avery and I to attend a ladies tea party in the Woodlands. It was pretty cute, and it is always fun to get a little dressed up these days.

She opted for hot chocolate instead of actual tea.
It is fun to be able to do all of this girly stuff with Avery, but I am so excited to see how this little boy will change up our household!
