Day at the Sandbar

On Saturday, the family headed out to our favorite summer hangout, the sandbar! Avery LOVED it! It is amazing at how much more independent she is than last year. She kept herself busy the entire time, floating everywhere and playing in the sand. Unfortunately, Tim and Tillie were unable to join us, Tillie broke her distal radius thursday night :( I know she will be back to new in no time.
Here she is checking out the fish Brian is cleaning...gross.

This was the first time she used her new life-jacket, it was a big hit!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Big Changes

Wow, what a crazy last couple of weeks it has been. I know I have been slacking in the blogging department...but I am trying. The past couple of weeks have been so busy, and I have a feeling it isn't going to let up any time soon. This week was my first week back in school, which was both exciting and overwelming. I can't believe I am actually doing it, and in 2 years I will be a Nurse Practitioner. It is something that I have thought about for so many years, I can't believe it is finally here.
It was also Avery's last week to stay with Mandy. The past two years have truly been a blessing, and I don't think I could have hand picked a better friend to watch my baby. Of course, I cried when I picked her up today, but I know the time is right, and she will be in great hands. Mandy, Scott, and the kids are going to Alabama for the summer, and I enrolled her in a preschool on 1488, Grace's Crossing, for the fall. For the summer, I found a college student that will be coming to the house to watch her.
Last Monday, Avery decided to climb, then fall out of her crib. So, tomorrow, Avery's big girl bed is being delivered. So, lets just add another big change into the Ash household. Last weekend, I painted her room, and finally decided on new bedding...I love it by the way. I know, painting new pink stripes on her wall probably shouldn't have been high on my to-do list, but oh well, at least it got done! I will post pics soon!

A little birdie told Avery a secret....

Avery's going to be a BIG COUSIN!!!!! Yay!!! I am soooo excited to be an aunt! I feel like I have known forever, but finally got to share the news with everyone on Mother's Day.....I know this post is a little late. On Mother's day, we celebrated at my house with yummy fish tacos, and Rachel and Ethan had the best surprise. I had a shirt made for Avery to announce the exciting knews. However, she was not the best model....oh well, she's two, what did I expect?

Mom finally figured it all out....

I had the shirt made on etsy....I loved it!

This pic cracks me up, I has trying to get her to read the shirt...this was before she figured it out..hehe

Rachel and Ethan are due December 5th...Rachel's Bday!

Yay for May!

This past Saturday we spent the entire day outdoors at Jackson's Birthday party and Ashley's baby shower. The weather was awesome...maybe a tad hot, but after all these months of cold, I am actually welcoming it. Anyways, as usual, Avery had a blast. She LOVES birthday parties. When I told her that morning where we were going, she asked me, "is there cake?", ha!

Melissa did a fantastic job decorating for Jackson's party, isn't it cute?

This jar was given to the winner of the best decorated red wagon...Avery got to take it home :)

a smile!

Yes, that is a scarf she is wearing...I asked her if she wanted to take it off because it was so hot, but she told me "No, I want to wear it!"...oh the price of fashion...

Time for the wagon parade!
Avery did not want her picture taken...

We had to leave the party a little early to make it to Ashley's baby shower. She is expecting another little girl, Danielle. She should be arriving early June. They had a slip-n-slide set up in the backyard, Avery loved it of course.

Last day of MDO

This past Monday was Avery's last day of Mother's day out at our church, Stonebridge. I have to admit I am a little sad...It is amazing how much one can accomplish in just 4 hours. Avery's teacher's were awesome, and she loved going every week. This was her last session, since I will be starting summer school this month.

Mrs. Eileen

On the last day, they had a music performance. I think Avery lasted all of 30 seconds until spotting me in the audience and running off stage...oh well.

"Hey, wait a minute, that's my mommy!"

walking off the stage....I guess she is not quite ready to perform
