Avery in Action

Well, this weekend Avery became a PRO at walking. It is amazing one day she is a little unsure, and doesn't want to let go of our hands, and now she is running all around the house. On Saturday, we went to a crawfish boil at Bebe's house, where she saw her cousin, Ashlynn walking all over the place. I think that is what finally did it. By the time it was time to go, she wanted to walk all around the yard! She had a great time hanging out with her cousin. When I get some more pics, I will post them. The girls kept giving each other kisses, it was tooo cute.

On Sunday, we headed out to the 290 outlet mall with Rachel and Nana. It was so much fun. This was the first trip I have made out there, and it was well worth it. I got some great spring clothes, and Avery an Easter outfit. Avery had a blast RUNNING around the stores and playing peek-a-boo with Aunt Ray in the clothes racks.

This past Friday, was Brian 34th Bday. We headed out to Bareback to celebrate with friends. Unfortuately, Brian and I had to leave wayyy too early bc we had both had way to much to drink. I was afraid I was about to get sick. I guess we are not as young as we used to be......or just out of practice. Thanks to everyone who came, next time I will make it longer...promise.

Brian was excited about his camo crocs.

The yummy banana pudding I made for him.

I finally figured out how to post a video, here is Avery and her new walking skills.

13 Month Stats

This morning I took Avery took the doctor for her 1-year check-up...I know we are a month late. We had to reschedule when she had the stomach bug. She is developing right on track, and has hit all of her major milestones.
Here are her latest measurements....
Height: 31 1/4 97%

Weight: 20lbs 10oz 25%

Head: 17 1/4 5%

I guess she is just all over the charts. I thought she was a little tall for her age.....

She is finally starting to get some more teeth up top. Her other front tooth is breaking through. I guess we won't be able to call her snaggle tooth much longer. I think it is too cute. She is also walking more and more on her own. She is sooo stubborn! She only wants to do it when she wants, or if she has something she isn't supposed to have....the little bugger...like the remote.

I can't believe her hair is so curly! I still think it is just baby curls, but lately it has really been curling up. When I was little, every time we were at the mall, or passed by some fountain, I always had to throw a penny in and wish for curly hair. I guess I just thought it would start growing in curly. Hence the perm, when I was 5. Maybe my daughter will get my wish....
Check out the snaggle tooth....

When Daddy's in Charge....

The other day, I was cooking dinner while Brian was giving Avery a bath. He called me into the bathroom, and said get your camera. He had decided to put Reba in the tub with Avery. Avery thought it was hilarous! She just kept smacking Reba. Poor Reba enjoyed the water, but was very preoccupied at trying the get the little elmos off the tub floor. Now every time I try to give Avery a bath, Reba trys to get in too. Thanks daddy!

A Trip to the Livestock Show...Yeehaw!

Sunday morning we woke up super early to head out to the Livestock show with the Galiks. I was really excited to take Avery, I can remember going as a kid. She woke up that morning in a great mood, so I was pumped. We first headed to the carnival, so the kids could ride a couple of rides. Avery took her first ride on the carousel. I think she liked it much better than Mommy. I got a little nauseous, but she had a blast!

Daddy and Avery in the morning before she got dressed....yes she has Christmas pj's on...

This was before the carousel started...

Wow Mom, this is pretty fun!

Steph and Tanner Man rode too.

Larry and Tanner Man in the go cart.

We then headed on over to the petting zoo. Both kiddos loved all of the animals, despite a deer trying to eat Tanner's shirt and a goat trying to push me over.

Avery checking out the deer.

I love kicking these pine chips daddy....

Not so sure about this goat...

But, I think I like this little guy.

Both kids did great the entire trip, when we got in the car they both passed out. Too bad the parents couldn't pass out too!

Momma's Night Out

My best friend Kara and I went to the rodeo on Tuesday night to see Rascal Flatts. We had such a great time. Our seats were awesome....thank you Jason! It has been years since I had been to the rodeo. I think the last time was while I was in nursing school....I know it is a little sad. We got dressed up in our western attire and headed out. Anyways, we tried to get there a little early so we could do a little shopping, eating, and beer drinking. We found the cutest little booths. Kara was in bling heaven. I bought a sparkly koozie, and of course a cowgirl shirt for Avery.

Here is a pic of Kara and I before Rascal Flatts performed.

I got home about 1:00am that night, which I didn't think was too late, until I had to wake up at 4:30 for work the night morning. I thought I was going to die. I guess I am not as young as I used to be. Oh well, it was worth it.

Here is some more pics of Kara and I posing in our western wear. I had to take some for Brian, I don't think he as ever seen me in a pair of cowboy boots...

We are planning on taking Avery to the Livestock show on Sunday, and I am soooo excited. There looked like there was so much fun stuff for the kids to do. I can't wait. I am also glad that she will be able to wear her pink cowboy boots again...he he. Check back for pics soon!

Tummy Troubles

Avery is still a little under the weather. I took her to the dr. today, and he just thinks she has some sort of stomach flu. I will be sooo ready when this is over. I miss my happy, funny, baby. She has been sleeping pretty good, but when she is awake, has a horrible stomach ache. He told me to try to give her pedialyte...yeah right. She just throws her sippy cup back at me. She will drink water, though, and has been getting better about drinking her milk. I even tried to give her back her binky...which I had previously taken away from her.... but she chunked that too. I guess she is really through with it now.

We am still trying to get her to eat. Yesterday, I even got her french fries from McDonalds, but she turned those down too. We did weigh her though, she weighed 20 lbs! She is in the 40th percentile for weight. Such a big girl.
