11 Months!

Look who is 11 months!!!  I really can't believe that my sweet boy is almost a year!  I know that everyone says this, but this year really has flown by.  Between working full-time as a NP, 2 kiddos, and a hubby, time has disappeared!  This past month has brought a few firsts for Brady.  Here is a list of things he is up to these days:
  • Can FINALLY crawl
  • Is pulling up on everything
  • Weighs 18 lbs (he was in the 7th percentile for weight and 25th for height)
  • Loves mealtime...it just took him awhile I guess :)  I tried the stage 3 foods, but he didn't like the texture very much.  By far, his favorites are those crunchy cheeto-looking things in the can.  I just give them for a snack, but I'm sure he would eat the whole can if I let him, lol
  • No teeth
  • Wearing size 3 diapers, and 9-12 month clothing
  • We are working on mastering the sippy cup. He can drink out of it, but he wants me to hold it, little stinker.
  • Has only said "mama" a few times, but can say "DaDa"
  • Had his first hair cut earlier this month, this kids still has a head full of hair
  • Still takes a paci, but only really wants it to go to sleep with
  • Is in LOVE with his big sister :)  He goes crazy whenever he sees her.  And, she is really great at entertaining him while I am doing stuff around the house.

We are getting ready for his 1st Birthday party around here.  I'm not doing anything over-the-top, just close friends and family over for a fish-fry and swimming, but I am looking forward to it.  I went with a goldfish theme, which I love.  It was just a coincidence that we are having fish...lol, oh well!

Mother's Day 2013

Happy Mother's Day everyone!  On Sunday, we had Brady dedicated at church, a great way to celebrate the day.  Avery was dedicated on her first Mother's Day as well.  He did pretty good up on the stage, despite being super tired.  He even made it through lunch at Willie's!  That's my boy!

I love this pic of me and my sis :)

After lunch, we all went home and took a nap!!! Yayyy...I know not that exciting, but it was much needed :)  Brady was a little fussy, his allergies have been horrible lately.

Dance Recital 2013

This past Saturday, Avery had her end of the year dance recital.  Friday night was their dress rehearsal, and Saturday was the actual recital.  She performed a ballet and a tap routine.  I think they both turned out super cute.  She really has met the best girlfriends these past 2 years in dance...and I have met some great friends myself!  We're not really sure what she's gonna do next year just yet...she has talked about cheer or volleyball, so I guess we shall see.

The tap routine was to "I love rock and roll"

The ballet routine was to "This little light of mine."

So proud!

Brady's new do

Yesterday, we took Brady to get his first haircut.  He was looking pretty shaggy, and the back was beginning to really curl up.  I have to admit, watching his soft, baby hair fall to the ground was a bit painful, but I am very happy with the result.  Brian wanted it shorter on the top, but I told him, we can't cut it all, he's still a BABY!  And, he was sooooo good the entire time!  He was a little unsure of the electric trimmer, but still managed to sit though it.  No more farah facet wings around the ears!

The lady asked me if she could style it with a faux-hawk, so of course I said yes!

Trip to Mexico 2013

Last week, Brian and I traveled to Mexico for some adults-only relaxation.  It was soooo nice, and the weather was perfect.  The day we left Houston, the weather was in the 50's, that is crazy for this time of the year!  We have actually been to this particular resort 3 times, so I really didn't take many pictures.  I was in complete relaxation mode, i guess, lol.  Courtney and Jared joined us, so it was great to have someone to hang out with.  It was soooo nice to sleep ALL night, but I did miss my sweet kiddos.  Court and I enjoyed a massage one day, we hung out by the beach and pools, and one day we traveled into an adventure park called Xplor, which was close to Playa.  It had underwater caves, zip lines, and amphibious vehicles. Here are some of the pics we got from all the little cameras posted around the park :)

This has to be my favorite pic, Brian is trying to block the camera from getting the Minga's
