It's Potty Time!

I am so excited to write that Avery pee peed in the potty for the first time tonight!  She totally surprised me when it happened.  

I had bought her a little potty last week, and she has really been playing with it every night.  I wanted to get her used to seeing it, and teach her some potty lingo.  I think she thinks it is a new toy...the other night she dragged it into the kitchen....Anyways, after dinner, while I was getting her bath ready, she wanted to sit on it and read her books.  So, I when was reading to her, the potty went off, and it started to sing to her.  I started screaming, and jumping up and down when I realized it meant that she had peed.  Avery got pretty excited to when she saw all the excitement, and started to dance (on the potty) to the music.  It was pretty cute.  She then wiped herself, and flushed the toilet paper down the big potty.  I was so proud....hehe.

I am trying to not get any big expectations up, I know this is just the beginning.

On another note, Avery is really starting to talk more and more each day.  Today she told me "love you".  I have been trying to get her to say it forever.  A few more new words are: apple, Mandy, truck, rain, Dusty (Ryan and Reagan's dog), Elmo, and Abby.  I can't believe she is getting so big...
