MHS Dance Clinic

Last Saturday, Avery attended a dance clinic at Magnolia HS with two of her best girlfriends.  This was really the first time Avery was exposed to a drill team.  I have always told Avery that I was on drill team when I was in HS, but she really didn't get it or believe me, ha.  The drill team girls taught the girls a few dances including a dance to perform at the Magnolia homecoming game.  How fun is that?  They even got to wear mums!  It was pretty neat to see my daughter perform on a football field, and have such a blast doing it :)

Check out my button with a pic of my little dancer!

I made all three little girls matching bows, I think they turned out pretty cute.

Now she will be ready for the Strutter reunion and performance October 20th :)

Anderson trip

This Saturday, we took a trip out to Anderson to just visit and hang out with family.  The weather was actually very nice, which was a big change from the crazy heat we have been having.  The girls just played while Brady mostly napped :)  I haven't been up there since my grandpa passed away last December, but I'm glad we went.  I know he would have been so happy to see all the his great-grandkids having so much fun in a place that he loved so much.

Brady's legs look so long here!

Look who's 3 months!

This little guy is 3 months old today!  He has the sweetest little smile, and such a laid back personality.

He was sleeping through the night pretty consistently, however, the past week he has not done so well.  Maybe he is going through a growth spurt, not too sure.  Here is just a few little tidbits about my sweet Brady so.

Brady:

  • Is still wearing size 0-3 months exept for sleepers, which he has outgrown in length.
  • Wears onsies to sleep in, because he gets to hot in a sleeper.
  • Is still swaddled for sleeping.
  • Wearing size 2 diapers
  • Is a great little shopper, he loves to look around at everything.
  • Is sleeping in the bassinet at night, but napping in his crib in his room throughout the day.
  • Does have quite the temper if he gets worked up about something.  (usually when he is tired)

See! What a great shopper he is!

Brady's Announcements

I just realized that I never actually posted the picture I took for Brady's birth announcements.  I really liked the way they turned out, especially since I just took the picture myself and ordered them off of tinyprints.com :)  Anyways, hope you like them.

Stats

We finally made it to the pedi for Brady's 2 month checkup.  I know, I know, just 3 weeks late.  Oh well.  Besides the shots part, he laughed and smiled at our doctor.  He is growing well, and is right on track.  I was a little surprised, I kinda thought he was bigger than he was.

Weight:  11 lbs 15 oz (29th percentile)
Height:  23.25" (34th percentile)
Head circumference:  15.75" (28th percentile)

A few hours after we got home, the poor little guy was just miserable.  He ran a fever and just couldn't get comfortable :(.  This morning, the tylenol is working, although he still has been running a slight fever. I hope my baby will be back to his happy self soon....

Happy Labor Day 2012!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day!  We finally made it up to the Lake this weekend.  It has been hard to go up there with Brady, but we braved the heat and had a great time with family.  This was Brady's first trip to Livingston, and he really did great (much better than his sister ever did at that age).  As I type this, he is fast asleep in his crib.  It must have worn the little boy out.  I know he is gonna be a lake baby just like his sister though. Yesterday, Tillie watched the little guy for us, while we enjoyed a trip to the sandbar on the pontoon boat.  I was a little disappointed in myself for not taking any pictures with my new fancy "mom" camera, however the iphone came through for me.  After almost packing the whole house, I really didn't feel like lugging it around, oh well.

Avery LOVED riding in PawPaw's boat. She kept saying "Go faster Daddy!"  Brian was so proud.  She was literally beaming when they kept driving by the pontoon.  She thought she was hot stuff :)

Happy Labor Day everyone!
