Christmas is around the Corner!

The day before Thanksgiving, we took a trip to the mall to go visit Santa. I can't believe it, but my child actually smiled! Who says bribery doesn't work?

Hello Kitty Christmas

When she walked up to Santa, she said, "My name is Avery Ash, and I want Hello Kitty." It was pretty cute. Afterwards, she told me that Santa was her friend. At least she wasn't scared.

Turkey Time in Anderson!

This past Saturday, we celebrated Thanksgiving a little early, with my entire family at my grandparent's place in Anderson, TX. I am soooo thankful for my family, and that we got a chance to spend such a beautiful day together.

Hmmm, do you think she likes Hello Kitty?

Everyone was there, except for my cousin, Raymond, who is currently serving in Afganistan. We love you and are so proud of you Raymond.

Jessica and Gene's reception

A couple of weeks ago, Brian and I got the chance to attend Jessica and Gene's wedding reception at their bar, Stats. They got married in Mexico in October, but Brian and I were unable to make it because of my school :( but were so excited to celebrate with them at their reception.

Rachel's Shower

On Sunday, we showered my sister, Rachel, as she prepares to welcome my sweet niece, Peyton. I am sooooo excited. I am so happy that the shower turned out so well. I can't believe that in 4 weeks she will be here....i know, we are cutting it a little close with the shower.

The thumb tree in progress. I saw this on http://www.etsy.com/ (my favorite website) and thought it was a terrific idea. We used it in place of a sign in sheet. The guests placed their thumbprint on the tree as a leaf. This will be hung in Peyton's room.

I love this picture :)

After the shower, we loaded up all the gifts and helped Rachel and Ethan put everything away. I think this was my favorite part. I loved organizing everything and looking at all the sweet baby gifts. Christine and I even put up Peyon's vinyl name that goes over her bed. It was a little difficult, but I think it turned out great.
