Memorial Day 2009

For Memorial Day, we had some friends and family over to the house to swim and grill some hotdogs. I hung in there pretty well, for only having a couple of hours of sleep. Memorial Day was my holiday to work at St. Joseph's....and boy were we busy! Anyways, the kiddos had a blast swimming in the pool while the girls drank beergarita's by the pool....yummy! I was hurting Tuesday morning!

Fun in the Sun

This past Friday, I decided to take Avery to the fountain at the Marketstreet in the Woodlands. I really wanted to do a little shopping, and remembered that they had a cute fountain that Avery might enjoy. I was sooo right. She did pretty good on the shopping trip, but when she saw all the kids playing, she got so excited! For the first 10 minutes, she just ate her pretzel (her newest favorite thing) and observed, but as you can see, she warmed up, and had a great time.

Yes, she is trying to drink the water...

Seriously....

Ok, what kid doesn't like chocolate milk??? I guess mine doesn't! Yesterday, I got her some organic chocolate milk in this neat little juice box from HEB (my favorite store), and just knew that she would LOVE it. Well, boy was I wrong! I first tried to dilute it with more milk, but then just had to completly replace it with water for her to drink anything. Ha ha, oh well.

Within the past week, it seems like she has grown soo much. She is really talking more and more each day it seems. (actual words) She is quite the chatter box. I will have to post a video soon.

Trip to the Country

This past Saturday the entire Klodzinski clan headed out to Anderson for for a family get-together. We had so much fun, it has been so long since the entire family has gotten together and just hung out. Thank you mom for organizing everything! The weather wasn't too hot, and there was a nice breeze blowing. Avery, of course, was the center of attention, and had a great time on the 4-wheeler and being spoiled by BOTH Meme and Nana. As a kid, I LOVED it when we all got together...we have to do it more often.

Mother's Day 2009

I have to say, my 2nd mother's day turned out absolutley perrrrfect! We went to church together, and came home to spend the day relaxing and cooking by the pool. Brian made my favorite, fish tacos, and we even had fritters and backstrap peppers with bacon...yum yum! Avery enjoyed getting in the pool with Meme and Papa. She is such a fearless dare devil! We better watch out. We actually got a few pics of Avery LOOKING at the camera for a change, so here are a few.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful and hardworking mothers out there. Becoming a mother has been the most awesome and rewarding job I have ever had. My life has completely changed since last February, and now I cannot remember life without my little toot!

Little Bruiser

Now that Avery is RUNNING all over the place, she is beginning to get all kinds of bruises on her chubby legs. I think each day I discover a new one. She is sooo rough! She will trip on one of the porch stairs, or just simply trip on her own feet in the living room. Brian suggested that she wear a helmet, because he is worried about her having permanent damage. Last week, she tried to tackle her new Ariel pillow that her Meme got her, and surprise...a new bruise on her eyebrow. Her newest one occured tonight before bedtime. She loves to brush everyone's hair, and I had gotten onto her when she chunked the hairbrush at me. Well, she decided to hold her breath in protest....until she went limp and fell on the time floor. Is this really normal??? She has done this holding her breath thing since she was tiny, it frightens most people. But how do I get her to stop? Her lips will turn blue until you can get her to take a breath again. I have a feeling this is just the beginning...

Here are some pics from Jackson's monkey-themed 1st Birthday party. She had a blast!
