So thankful

So yesterday, I had the biggest scare of my life, and this morning I am extremely thankful to have 2 healthy, beautiful children.  Anyways, last night, as I was getting into bed, I heard Brady crying and what sounded like choking on the monitor.  When I went into his room, there was vomit ALL over his bed and himself.  I picked him up, and called for Brian to help me with his crib sheets while I got him into the bath.  All during the bath, my poor baby just wasn't himself, he was pale and sooo quite.  As I dressed him, he was still pale and a little more limp.  He think started to vomit more, and each time he looked a little worse.

I carried him into my room, and decided to call the on-call pedi.  I was really worried that maybe he had aspirated something when he threw-up the first time.  While I was waiting on a call back, I decided to call Tillie, and have her come over to stay with Avery who was already asleep, so we could take Brady to the ER, I really just didn't like the way he was looking.  Even on the way to the ER, he kept retching, and his breathing was very shallow and fast.  I have NEVER been this scared with either one of my kiddos.

By the time we got to the ER, I could get him to respond, but he was still so limp.  After handing him over to the nurses, it was decided that everytime he vomitted, he was having a vagal response, (kinda like passing out) with small periods of apnea.  It was so scary to see my little baby doing it!  Thankfully, we were able to get some zofran into him, and about 30 min later, he was sooo much better.  I was never so happy to hear him cry and wiggle around.  As a result, we ended up staying in the ER for observation for awhile, had a clear abdominal x-ray, and were discharged this morning.  We're really not sure if it was a virus, or a result of the cereal he had last night (he has had it a few times already).  But anyhow, I am soaking up all of his sweet smiles today.

Brady Bear

Just a few random iphone pics of my sweet boy this morning :)  Even though this little guy kept waking up every 2-3 hours last night...ugh...he is still such a cutie.  I'm not really sure what is going on these days, but I sure hope it stops soon, this momma needs a nap!

Halloween 2012

This Halloween we trick-or-treated in our neighborhood as usual, hay-ride & tractor style.  The houses in the neighborhood are kind spread out, so it is a bit easier for the kids.  Avery had a blast, but by the first street she was pretty much done, and just wanted to ride and eat candy, oh well.  Brady stayed at Court's house (thank's Court for having everyone over!) with my mom, and pretty much just slept through the whole thing. I really didn't get too fancy with his costume this year.  I had a lion costume that I was gonna dress him up in (since Avery was Dorothy) but of course with Texas weather you never know what you're gonna get.  This weekend the low was in the 40's and Halloween day had a high in the 90's, seriously!?!  As a result, he just wore a skeleton sleeper.   Next year, I will have 2 kiddos running around!

Fabulous Fall

I absolutely love the fall!  There are so many neat activities to do, and sometimes the weather is pretty nice too.  I looove all things pumpkin and decorating the house for the season.  The entire month of October, we have been super busy...but that's ok, busy is good these days.  One of the fun activities that Avery has been looking forward to is her school's storybook parade.  This year, she wanted to go as Skippy Jon Jones.  We were first introduced to the simamese cat creature this summer when I took her to the library to check out books.  She loved him.  When I found this costume on amazon, I knew it would be perfect.

She seemed a little disappointed when not everyone knew who she was, but that ok, I think she looked pretty darn cute.

There goes Skippy!

Last weekend, we also tried out the Dewberry Farm.  We usually go to the pumpkin patch in spring, but this year wanted to do something a little different.  It was a good choice even though the weather was a bit chilly.  The girls seemed to have a blast anyhow.

These 3 play so good together!

This is what my little guy thought of all the picture taking, lol

Later that day, we squeezed in a halloween party too!  These girls were all in dance together.

And on Sunday, we made a trip to the Seven Acre Wood in Conroe for Luke and Walker's bday party!  By this party, I was all photog'd out...oh well.  See y'all on halloween!
